American University, Washington D.C., USA (ranked)

Also offers duals JD/LLM Degrees. The LLM in International Legal Studies includes course in international trade and banking, international environmental law, international organizations, gender and the law, and international protection of human rights. They also offer an LLM in Law & Government which can be done jointly with the LLM in International Legal Studies.  Ranked as the 8th by AUAP*

Offers an LLM in American Law especially for foreign lawyers as well as other graduate programs.

Considered one of the best LLM Programs in US, was ranked the 1st place by the AUAP. Despite the large international program it also offers duals degrees and exchange programs with schools overseas.

Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA

Also considered one of the best in U.S... Their program offers a variety of options of LLM and joint degrees that can attend the most ambitious lawyers. It was ranked the 3rd place by the AUAP, together with University of Pennsylvania.

Duke University, Durham, NC, USA

Also has a big reputation, considered of the best schools in general in U.S. Their program in international and comparative law has been an option for foreign lawyers that want to pursuit the LLM degree and also those interested in doing a dual JD/LLM program.

It has a small but good program for foreign lawyers. They admit only a few people every year and offer an LLM in American Law, which is perfect for those who intend to have a general idea of how the American legal system works.

Fordham University

Fordham Law offers two graduate degrees--the Master of Laws in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law and the Master of Laws in International Business and Trade Law. More specific, it can be of great value for those who know and want to pursue a career on these areas. Ranked the 7th by the AUAP.

George Manson University, Arlington, VA

Offers two Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degrees in the areas of Intellectual Property and Law & Economics. In addition to this, the school offers several joint degree programs.

George Washington University, Washington, DC

Offers LLM degree in one of the following areas: General LLM, Environmental Law, International Environmental Law, Government Procurement and Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law, International and Comparative law, Government Procurement law and Litigation and Dispute Resolution. It lost its position on the ranking of the AUAP but alumni’s from he school and current students consider it still a excellent option and the school itself is still one of the best in the country.

Georgetown University, Washington, DC

Georgetown offers two programs: The Master of Laws (general studies) or Master of Laws (International Legal Studies). Foreign lawyers may also apply to the specialized Taxation or Securities & Financial Regulation LL.M. degrees if they have particularly strong backgrounds in these areas.  Ranked by the 15th by the AUAP.
